Big Boy Records, an iconic mainstay record label in New Orleans, recently presented a legendary concert at the Howlin' Wolf in New Orleans on January 7th.

NEW ORLEANS - LouisEagle -- Not only did this show create an enjoyable atmosphere for lifelong fans, it celebrated the contributions of legacy acts and tastemakers from Louisiana and New Orleans. The late Tim Smooth, Tre-8 and MC Thick were posthumously acknowledged. In addition, artists like Kilo, Katey Red, Hot Boy Ronald, Warren Mayes, UNLV, Ice Mike, and Bust Down were celebrated with beautiful crystals.

Partners-N-Crime, Lil Ya, Bust Down, and DJ Jubilee headlined a powerful lineup of New Orleans artists. Special performances celebrating MC Thick, Tim Smooth and Tre 8 were anchored by fellow artists Jr.Mack and family members. Big Boy Records also showed the city of New Orleans the backbone of music promotion by acknowledging Jabba Jaws, DJ Troy-D, Mean Green, Captain Charles, Bobby Caillier, Mixx Maestro, DJ Pratt Da Catt, MOBO JOE RECORDS, DJ Slick Leo, and DJ Wickett Crickett.

Part owner DJ Precise was shocked when he received an award from Partners-N-Crime which was a reflecting moment catered to all the music he made for them and fellow Big Boy artists. Q93 legendary mixologist DJ Ro deejayed the event along with Kutt Master Slimm.

In an effort to make sure this great event was accessible to anyone, Big Boy Records curated a pay-per-view version that streamed live during the actual event.

"We got us. It doesn't matter what other award shows do, Big Boy Records will make sure our artists are honored for their work throughout the years," said Dj Precise. "The main thing I aim for is for the artists and the fans to have a good time. That's the most important thing for me," said Rob Shaw, part owner of Big Boy Records.
