"Decoding School Mass Shooter Manifestos to Predict Behavior: A Theory-Based Qualitative Study" by Dr. Jodi LaMothe Now Published in APA's Professional Psychology: Research and Practice

NEW ORLEANS - LouisEagle -- Dr. Jodi LaMothe, an educational leader, behavioral researcher, and national advocate for crisis prevention, is proud to announce the official publication of her peer-reviewed research article, Decoding School Mass Shooter Manifestos to Predict Behavior: A Theory-Based Qualitative Study, in the American Psychological Association's (APA) journal, Professional Psychology: Research and Practice.

In this groundbreaking study, Dr. LaMothe examined 21 school shooter manifestos using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as a psychological framework. Six (6) of the Twenty-One (21) manifestos were detailed in the study's findings. The research identifies clear behavioral patterns, emotional triggers, and cognitive distortions that can serve as early warning signs—providing actionable insights for mental health professionals, school administrators and policy makers.
