Englander will Lead Expansion of Disaster Relief Trailer Program Powered by Altitude Water
BATON ROUGE, La. - LouisEagle -- Business Cares, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit devoted to community resilience and emergency preparedness, has announced the appointment of Richard Englander Jr. to lead its Disaster Relief Trailer (DRT) Program in the Louisiana Region, which is powered by Atmospheric Water Generator leader Altitude Water's groundbreaking technology.
"We are honored to have Richard join our quickly growing team, one that will change how local communities respond to active disasters while guaranteeing at-risk families and businesses the access to water and additional support they deserve," said Jeff Szur, Altitude Water Founder and COO. "With more than 40 years of experience in real estate, franchise operations, and even purified water distribution, his expertise will be essential in expanding our operations across the Southeast."

Throughout his established career, Englander worked closely in the water sector. Seeing firsthand the experiences of often-ignored towns in need of clean water, Englander was inspired to advocate for increased accessibility for underserved communities shortly after this informative segment ran on WGNO ABC News: https://wgno.com/news/louisiana/orleans-parish/altitude-water-machine-makes-up-to-15-gallons-of-water-a-day-using-air/
As Louisiana Regional Director, Englander will serve as the primary liaison for Business Cares, developing relationships with management departments and local business leaders across the state. He will also lead efforts to deploy Altitude's Disaster Relief Trailers (DRTS) across the region, powerful units that can produce up to 210 gallons of pure water daily from the air, purify 1,500 gallons of water from other sources, provide Starlink internet and Wi-Fi for up to 100 people within a 0.5-mile radius, and are equipped with solar panels that generate power for operations and batteries designed to recharge emergency supplies.
"As hurricane season is in full force, now is the perfect time to build these long-lasting community connections," added Szur. "Recovery efforts work best when detailed plans are in place, and our network of leaders will ensure that life-saving technology is on the way as soon as possible following a disaster."
The DRT initiative also offers a unique opportunity for corporate sponsors to support their communities while gaining 100% tax-deductible benefits and long-term brand visibility. Sponsors can lease or purchase trailers featuring prominent billboard space, which can be used at festivals and public events to increase business exposure.
Business Cares and Altitude Water have already successfully deployed trailers to disaster zones in Maui, Florida, and North Carolina, with additional coverage by NBC6, Fox Carolina, and as mentioned, WGNO New Orleans.
