Music, Films, Food, Free to the Public July 12 from Noon to 8:00pm

BATON ROUGE, La. - LouisEagle -- Henry Turner Jr.'s Listening Room Museum Foundation is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual (Neighbor) Hood Fest. The festival's focus is on building unity by exploring the city of Baton Rouge, as well as Louisiana's diverse cultural communities. It also features a film component that exemplify the communities and the people who live and work in them.
The 2nd Annual (Neighbor) Hood Fest will be held Saturday, July 12 from noon to 8:00pm at the EBRPL-Main Library located at 7711 Goodwood Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70806. It is family friendly and free to the public. The festival features a Vendor's Village and Food Court, live music and films, along with a Children's play area that includes a Soccer Field, so bring your soccer gear. Features and shorts will be shown in the library, followed by filmmaker panel discussions. New this year is a Hot Dog Eating Contest, sponsored by Frankie's Dawg House. A Pre-party will be held on Thursday, July 10 from 7:00pm to midnight at Henry Turner Jr.'s Listening Room located at 2733 North Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802. Admission is $30.00 and includes a buffet. No host bar.

Musical talent includes Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor and the Listening Room All-Stars, King Solomon and Ervin "Maestro" Foster.  Joining us again are Xavie Shorts, Ms. Pressure and Chris Christ Child. New to festival are Crossfire Youth Ministries Band and Shore Enough from Panama City, Florida. Films include "Wasted: Overtourism & The French Quarter" and music video blocks.
