NEW ORLEANS - LouisEagle -- The Palmisano Foundation, the charitable arm of RNGD, has announced the expansion of its scholarship program for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year. By diversifying our scholarship program to support more students pursuing post-secondary education in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) fields, we continue to pursue our mission to create education opportunities for New Orleans youth.
Thirty deserving students pursuing four-year AEC degrees and two-year AEC trade degrees will be awarded scholarships. The Foundation has recognized a growing need for skilled professionals in the AEC fields, and it is committed to supporting more passionate students pursuing these careers.
This scholarship opportunity is open to students of all backgrounds. Recipients will be selected based on their academic performance, leadership skills, community involvement, and financial need.
Founder and Board Chair Wes Palmisano stated, "The Palmisano Foundation is committed to advancing education and providing resources for students to fulfill their dreams and goals. As part of our strategic philanthropy approach, we nearly doubled the number of scholarships for 2024 and expanded the program to recognize the growing demand for two-year AEC trade career pathways."

"We are thrilled to expand our scholarship program to support more students pursuing careers in the AEC fields," said Palmisano Foundation Director Sherry Serio. "We believe that by investing in the next generation of AEC professionals, we can help create a brighter future for our industry and communities."
As part of the scholarship expansion and mission to give back to the communities we serve, the Palmisano Foundation has partnered with HRI Community Resources, the charitable arm of HRI Communities, to further diversify scholarship opportunities for disadvantaged youth.
HRI Communities and RNGD have been working together to create high-quality, affordable and mixed-income rental communities since RNGD's inception in 2013. As the next step in their joint community development efforts, the Palmisano Foundation and HRI Community Resources, Inc. are co-funding five scholarships in 2024 for low-income residents of New Orleans apartment communities operated by HRI Management, LLC. These scholarships will allow residents to continue their education advancement such as secondary school degrees, vocational training, or four-year college degrees.
