Eight of Mandeville's political candidates have agreed to attend the February 20th Forum at Frequencies (over Spoke & Barrel), 6:00. MandePAC members will have reserved priority seating. Open to the public.
MANDEVILLE, La. - LouisEagle -- In pursuit of its goals, MandePAC has offered a Candidate Forum to all candidates for the Mayor's office and Council's office for this election cycle. MandePAC, is pleased to announce that eight of the candidates have agreed to attend the Forum. These are: Clay Madden (Mayor), Jeff Lyons (Mayor), Jason Zuckerman (Council at Large), Ernest Burguieres (Council at Large), Scott Discon (Council at Large), Skelly Kreller (District 2 Council), and Kevin Vogeltanz (District 2 Council). While Council member Jill McGuire was re-elected without opposition, she has agreed to join the Forum.
The Candidate Forum will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Frequencies (over Spoke and Barrel), commencing at 6 p.m. Candidates will each be given three minutes to tell us about themselves and their vision for the City. After that, MandePAC Managers will shoot a number of rapid fire questions to the candidates on the panel, giving each one a minute to address the question. Finally, each candidate will have two minutes at the end of the Forum to answer the question, "Why you?"

There will be reserved seating for MandePAC Members who RSVP and are in good standing. The public is invited, with first-come, first-served available seating. Once the Forum is completed, MandePAC Managers will gather, assess the candidates, including remarks from the audience, and issue its endorsements, if any. MandePAC, is a non-partisan citizen formed, political action committee, focused on elections and issues affecting the City of Mandeville.
