Ragin' Cajun & Melissa T-Beaux Partner to Launch First Ever Creole Gumbo Seasoned Roux
BROUSSARD, La. - LouisEagle -- Working in the medical field didn't stop Melissa "Thibeaux" Anderson from becoming a Creole Entrepreneur & Innovator. Melissa decided to start her own business after having an idea that never existed before.
Her idea was simple: Create a great-tasting, easy to cook gumbo without all the headaches. All you need to do is add water & meat! She started from scratch in her own kitchen and, after a year of many samples and taste tests, Melissa finalized the first-ever Seasoned Gumbo Roux! Melissa realized she would need to quickly scale up to distribute to consumers and grocery stores.
Partnership was critical for Melissa. "My leadership skills create the environment for success and that success depends on teamwork and partnerships".
Melissa found that partnership with Ragin' Cajun Foods. The two companies met at the Louisiana Restaurant Association in New Orleans in 2021 & quickly realized the vision for both companies were perfectly aligned: Making authentic and easy to cook Louisiana Creole and Cajun food for the world to enjoy.

About Melissa:
The road to success was not easy. But rather than view obstacles as failures, Melissa has seen each learning lesson as potential for improvement. "My vision started off small and grew as the word spread and my biggest challenge is to supply the demand for the success of my company. This partnership will help create an everlasting brand for my two sons, and granddaughter to continue. Her company's name is not her only priority – success, Melissa reiterates, comes from establishing and building the values that go into that name, setting out a focus from the beginning and never losing sight of it". For aspiring entrepreneurs, Melissa advises: "Believe in yourself: believe that you are capable of being successful, stay positive to attract positive outcomes."
Melissa became a tenant of the Louisiana State University AgCenter Incubator Kitchen to produce and sell into grocery stores under the direction and guidance of Gaye M. Sandoz, Director; Jason Gilfour, (Former) Operations & Business Manager, Ashley Gutierrez, MA,CFS, R&D Food Scientist, Sensory Lab Manager, Gabriela Crespo Gutierrez, Assistant Manager and Tony Barber Facilities Planning all of the LSU AgCenter FOODii.
