Gainesville, Florida, February 25, 2022 – Jamar Hébert, Gainesville-based author, philanthropist, business leader, and CEO of J. Hébert Companies, has announced the release of his second book, "The Only Black In The Room", written with the aim of promoting understanding, unity, and healing among readers of all backgrounds.

Jamar shares his personal perspective on his journey climbing the leadership ranks across a range of Fortune 500 companies, often finding himself with few African-American peers. Drawing on insights from history and examples of other trail-blazing leaders, Jamar shares his personal perspective on navigating urgent issues of race and reconciliation in modern society and advice for other professionals making their work in the modern workplace.

"The Only Black Man In The Room" will be officially released on Juneteenth 2022, June 19, 2022 and pre-sales will begin Friday, February 25th.

About the Author:

Jamar Hébert has been helping everyday individuals realize their goals throughout his life. When he was awarded "Leader of the Year" in his regional management role with a Fortune 500 telecommunications company, he realized that his strategies for attaining key company goals could help individuals do the same.

His first book "Dream It, Plan It, Do It" shares his distinctive approach to mapping out any goal that individuals want to achieve with a streamlined approach. Jamar was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and currently resides in the greater Gainesville, Florida area, where he is active in his community and serves as Co-Founder and Chapter President of 100 Black Men of Greater Florida GNV., Inc.  Hébert is the proud father of four children, Jarius, Peyton, Maddox, and Morgan.
