SHREVEPORT, La. - LouisEagle -- On December 22, 2022, Alan Kaye of Shreveport, Louisiana earned the American Interventional Pain Physicians Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious honor was given to him in appreciation for his extended devotion to initiating and advancing within the realm of Interventional Pain Management. His successes have been motivated by his supervision, research achievements, and steadfast allegiance.
The ASIPP 2023 Yearly Gathering will be hosted in National Harbor, Maryland on March 16-18 and those being honored will be honored at the occasion. Alan Kaye is the Vice Chancellor of Academic Matters, regularly known as the Chief Educational Officer and Provost; he also serves as the Pail Fellowship Program Manager and Permanent Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Neurosciences at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.

Alan Kaye from Shreveport is licensed to provide Anesthesiology and Pain Management care, as attested by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Moreover, he is a certified Diplomate of both the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Dr. Alan Kaye, a Galveston native, achieved 1st position in the National Student Research Forum for his Ph.D. dissertation on "The Effects of Angiotensin Peptides and Nonpeptide Agonists on the Pulmonary Vessels of Cats and Rats", which he finished writing in May 1997. He has written 241 abstracts, 889 manuscripts, 309 book chapters, and 45 books pertaining to topics such as pharmacology, pain medicine, and anesthesiology.
He finished a course of instruction in pain treatment at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center directed by Doctors Miles Day, Prithvi Raj, and Gabor Racz. Subsequently, he is respected as one of the top interventional pain specialists and anesthesiologists in the nation.
He holds a prestigious American Board of Anesthesiology qualification in the area of pain management and has also been approved by the Board of Consultant Anesthesiology. In addition, he is a diplomat for both the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians and the American Board of Pain Medicine.
He has had a long-term enthusiasm for education and mentoring medical students and residents. He has made efforts to improve the program at Louisiana State University Shreveport Medical School, which resulted in an unrivaled pass rate for the USMLE 1 and USMLE 2 last year. Currently, Dr. Kaye is associated with various national committees, including the ASIPP and ABIPP National Board of Directors.
