BATON ROUGE, La. - LouisEagle -- The11th Annual Baton Rouge Mardi Gras Festival is pleased to announce the talent lineup and sponsors for the Mardi Gras events.

The main festival is Saturday, February 10 from 10:00am to 7:00pm at North Boulevard Town Square on the Town Lawn Stage. It features continuous live music and dance, a Vendor's Village and Food Court. Lawn seating, so bring your chairs. It's family friendly and free to the public. The venue is located at 222 North Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70801.

This year's festival lineup features blues, soul, funk, R&B, reggae, world, jazz, rock, dance, comedy and Mardi Gras Indians. New to the festival this year are Double Trouble Zydeco Band, Gemini Sunrise, a rock duo from Texas, Canadian touring duo Two Crows for Comfort and local R&B artist King Solomon. Returning favorites include John "The Bossman" Hall, a James Brown Tribute act, the Phoenix Rouge Belly Dancing Troupe, blues greats' SmokeHouse Porter and Miss Mamie, Robert "The Juice" Lenoir, along with Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor with Big Queen Tonya Bell Sylvas. The Listening Room All-Stars performing are Ervin "Maestro" Foster, Princess Teha, Kevin White, Kelton 'Nspire Harper and comedian Eddie "Cool" Deemer. Host is Gisele Harelson.

The festival also includes multiple screenings of the documentary "We're Going Down to the Mardi Gras," narrated by Henry Turner Jr. It will run at 2:30, 3:30 and 5:00pm at the River Center Library on the 4th floor.

The festival kicks-off with a Pre-party on Thursday, February 8 from 7:00pm to midnight at Henry Turner Jr.'s Listening Room. Admission is $25.00 in advance and $30.00 at the door. It includes a buffet and no-host bar. The venue is located at 2733 North Street in Baton Rouge, LA 70802.

Pre-party entertainers include Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor with Big Queen Tonya Bell Sylvas, some of the Phoenix Rouge dancers, along with the Listening Room All-Stars who will be performing at the festival.

Sponsors are Visit Baton Rouge, Blue Runner, East Baton Rouge Parish Library, EMediaGC (Electronic Media Gulf Coast), Downtown Development District and EW Media Group. The event is presented by Henry Turner Jr's Listening Room Museum Foundation a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
