Sistars of Empowerment, Inc. has teamed up with Safe Havynn Education Center to offer this amazing Back to School Teen Summit to empower and encourage our youth before they return to school.
BATON ROUGE, La. - LouisEagle -- The Summit will include 2 full days of empowerment in several areas for youth ages 13-17. The mission of this event is to equip students with essential skills for developing healthy relationships, dealing with anger and improving self esteem.
The event will be held at the Greenwell Springs Branch Library each day from 10:00am - 3:00pm CST. Topics of discussion include: Self Esteem, Self discovery, Understanding Differences in Others, Effective Communication and Conflict Resolution, Foundations of Healthy Relationships, Navigating and Setting Healthy Boundaries. Students will receive supplies and resources to enhance their back to school experience and hear from local empowerment speakers with words of encouragement. Lunch and snacks are provided each day. All students that attend both days will be entered to win a FREE LAPTOP!!

The Back to School Teen Summit is a free Community Event. Registration is required via the link www.sistarsinc.com/b2s and a Signed Permission Slip is required for each attendee. Students are required to attend both days to qualify for all giveaways. The empowerment speaker list includes Councilman Darryl Hurst, Dr. James Gilmore, Lloyd Benson Jr., Dana Buckley, Keyandra Hall, and Aven Harrison.

The Sistars of Empowerment Inc, was founded in 2013, its mission is to empower by promoting sisterhood, education, service and networking to enhance the progression of women and youth. SOE has served the community in several capacities by way of mentoring, empowerment events and community outreach.
