Lafayette native, Stacey Perry, has opened a new business in the New Orleans area -Parish FX. The business provides special effects makeup, fabrication and prosthetics for film and TV in addition to SPFX classes offered to the public

NEW ORLEANS - LouisEagle -- Lafayette local, Stacey Perry has opened Parish FX in Chalmette, LA.

Parish FX is a special fx makeup lab that provides artists and prosthetics to film and television productions. The facility is also open to the public and offers several different classes and workshops in special effects makeup, prosthetics and prop fabrication.

Stacey has been working in the film/tv industry for several years and in that time she has seen the need to bring a special fx makeup lab to the area.

"There's really no local source for productions to go to for special fx makeup and prosthetics. Most of the time, we have to go out of state to either Atlanta or Los Angeles. I'm hoping we can make it easier for local productions."

Parish FX has opened close to the Imagination Station Stages in Chalmette, LA. They will be providing Special FX and Makeup artists to work on set, special fx prosthetics, props and fabrication for the film/tv industry.Parish FX is also wanting to educate by offering several different special fx and beauty classes and workshops to the public.
