Broadmoor High School has been the venue for an arts and crafts festival for the past 50 years. It is known to many locals as a school fundraiser.
BATON ROUGE, La. - LouisEagle -- Mrs. Rainee Dunham and Ms. Nikki Kieren, are committee members who have been attending the festival with their loved ones for years. They noticed a significant decline in attendance and vendor participation, particularly after the challenges posed by Covid. In response, they volunteered to breathe new life into this beloved tradition, aiming to restore it to its former glory with over 300 vendors. The festival was an integral part of the region's festival culture prior to Covid. The organizers are confident they will restore it to its heyday.
The mission is to nurture the artistic talents of the students, provide a platform for local artists to showcase their work and raise essential funds to enhance the school's programs and facilities. By fostering a love for the arts and crafts and entrepreneurial spirit, we are not only enriching our students' educational experiences but also strengthening the bonds within our community. Together we can craft a brighter future.
