BATON ROUGE, La. - LouisEagle -- The13th Annual Baton Rouge Mardi Gras Festival's stage lineup and sponsors. Pre-party is Thursday, February 12 from 7:00pm to midnight with main festival Saturday, February 14 from 10:00am to 7:00pm.
Pre-party is a sneak peek of some of the talent to play on the Town Lawn Stage. Admission is $30.00, buffet included. Venue is 2733 North Street in Baton Rouge, LA 70802. Performers expected to appear are Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor, the Listening Room All-Stars and special guests.
The main festival features live music, a vendor's village and food court. It's family friendly and free to the public. Lawn seating. Venue is located at 222 North Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70801.
This year's festival lineup features blues, soul, R&B, reggae, jazz, pop/rock, contemporary Christian, spoken word and dance. Hosts are Kewin Fealing and Free Spirit. Performers are Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor, the Listening Room All-Stars including Ervin "Maestro" Foster and the Beter Half Band, Kelton 'Nspire Harper, King Solomon and Princess Teha. Returning favorites are the Phoenix Rouge Dance Troupe, Big Queen Tanya Sylvas, Uncle Chess and SmokeHouse Porter and the Gut Bucket Blues band. New to the festival this year are Celeste Marie Wilson and Sysia Dnae from Texas.

Screenings of "We're Going Down to the Mardi Gras:The Making of Henry Turner Jr.'s Mardi Gras Festival," will be shown at the River Center Library at 2:00, 3:30 and 5:00pm, located right next to the festival grounds. The 44 minute documentary is narrated by Turner and was produced by Michele Barnes for her Rebirth Shield Film Productions.
